On May 5, 2017, the Timorese company, ACELDA, based in Baucau, and a consultant from Jakarta (Indonesia), Bagus Juli B., presented to TradeInvest and some relevant entities their new investment of home industry for soap and shampoo processing by using candlenut oil, coconut oil and sandalwood oil as prime material.
At this moment, Mr. Higino da Costa, Director of ACELDA, is working in the production of candlenut oil. In 2015 he received the Certificate of Investor by AEI, former TradeInvest.

For the development of this new investment, the company is expecting to produce an annual capacity of 3,375,240 soaps and 1,022,376 shampoos.
Representatives from MECAE, AIFAESA, MCIA, Ministry of Planning and Strategic Investment (MPIE), Ministry of Tourism, and the Ministry of Health were present in this presentation. After that, each representative had the opportunity to present their opinions and suggestions.
This activity was part of TradeInvest's role, through the Export Promotion Directorate (DPE), in facilitating the national private sectors to diversify their products and expand their business as well as connecting them with relevant government entities.
